Tshe ring bsam ’grub: Stong skor Village Tibetan Collection

This collection contains six folk songs recorded by Tshe ring bsam 'grub in 2006 in Stong skor Village, Mgo mang Town, Mang ra County, Mtsho lho Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, PR China.

This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. It describes certain animals' birthplaces and the places where those animals may demonstrate their abilities.

This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. The lyrics state that one should prove oneself in the correct context, for example, a woman proves herself in her husband’s household.

3. Folk Song 3
This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. The lyric state that omens portend good fortune. The singer also states that if the audience agrees, he will sing again.

4. Folk Song 4
This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. The lyrics say, “Parents are old when their hair turns white, and their grandchildren no longer let them sing songs.”

This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. The lyrics state, "Even if this song isn’t nice to listen to, you have to listen to it. If you don't like it, I will sing another song."
