Whitehorn: Paiwan Record Collection

The World Oral Literature Project is pleased to host the collection of John Whitehorn. Details of the full collection can be browsed on DSpace@Cambridge by clicking here.

This collection contains twenty audio files from ten digitised gramophone records of traditional songs in endangered languages of Taiwan, recorded by the Ring Ring Record Factory, Li Ming Records for the Paiwan Presbytery, and the Mountain Work Committee of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. The records were made in the Wulai Mountain Cultural Centre, North Taiwan; Tawusan, Pingtung County; Tiochiu, Pingtung County; and Santemon, Pingtung County. The collection also contains scanned images of the record covers.
