Me lha: Ra skor Village Collection

This collection contains four folk songs collected in Ra skor Village, Khyung mchu Town, Khyung mchu County, Rnga ba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, PR China by Me lha in February 2007.

1. Ra skor Folk Song 1 / The Dragon Thundered Upon the Rma rgyal / 龙在玛佳上方吼叫
Herders sing this song while on mountains herding sheep and yak. This song praises local places and the beauty of summer.
牧人在山上放羊和牛的时候唱这首歌。这首歌赞扬当地和那 里的美丽的夏天。

2. Ra skor Folk Song 2 / Horses, Yaks, and Sheep are Treasures / 马和牛羊是财宝
This song praises sheep, yaks, and horses and says they are treasures for herders, because herders rely on them to survive.
这首歌赞扬牛羊和马，说它们对于牧人是财宝，因为牧人们 靠它们而生活。

3. Ra skor Folk Song 3 / White Sheep Like Stars in The Sky / 绵羊就像天上的星星
This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering. It was popular during the 1990s but is less commonly heard today. It praises gold, silver, and the auspicious endless knot.
在任何的庆祝节日上都可以唱这首歌。在一九九零年期间这 首歌比较流行，现如今很少听到。这首歌赞扬金子和银子以 及巴扎。

4. Ra skor Folk Song 4 / White Sheep Like Stars in The Sky / 绵羊就像天上的星星
This song may be sung at any celebratory gathering and herders also sing this while herding in the pastures.
在任何的庆祝节日上都可以唱这首歌，大多数牧人们在牧场 上放牧的时候唱这首歌。
